Fresh cut flowers add to the spirit and color for each room. When people receive the gift of fresh cut flowers, they want to keep it as long as possible. Fortunately, there are a number of ways to keep fresh cut flowers.
Here is a list of tips to help you take care of your fresh cut flowers:
1. Remove the flower from the wrappings and cut the stems at the side (about 3 cm) because this will show more of the rod into the water. Remove all leaves that will be in the water. For the roses, do not remove the thorns that will cause them to deteriorate at a rate much faster. Put a vase of flowers in the water. Warm water should be used because it contains less oxygen than cold water to reduce the amount of air bubbles that may be formed in the rod system. Distilled water is the best water to use.
